About Us

We (Kate and Vicki Woodhead) are the creators of Caitlin's Fund.

We became friends with Caitlin's mum, Helen Peaker (nee Fieldhouse), in the late 1990's and since then have spent some great and memorable times with Helen and her family. We have had the pleasure of knowing Caitlin from birth and watching her grow into a beautiful young girl.

We can only begin to imagine how the last 18 months have been for Caitlin and her family and as a small gesture of our support we decided we would challenge ourselves to something that would ultimately raise money to help and support Caitlin in her rehabilitation; and as a way of thanking the magnificent charity, Andrea's Gift, who have helped the family through this difficult time.

What started out as obtaining sponsorship for running a few half marathons has now progressed to a fundraising campaign that will include a variety of events (including a few extra half marathons!!).

The challenge has certainly grown for us and the anticipation of whether we will achieve what we set out to is both exciting and daunting.

However, our main aim is do something that will make Caitlin smile and to give her something to look forward to that is a million miles away from what she has been through over the past 18 months. So, please help us in any way you can to support us in meeting our challenge.
